We secured a small allotment plot

ex-plotless Happily we (3 of us sharing) have secured a small plot 94ft x 13ft, with a shed full of character. The plot was in good condition with only short weeds, which we hoe'd off, then turned the soils a full spade depth. The soil looks to be in good condition thanks to the previous occupier. We have the 1st earlies planted and then attempted to sow seeds direct into the ground and are waiting to see...

The more I have come to learn about cooking (through a great deal of trial and error with a greatly patient sister), the more I realise how much I really love food. And not just the eating either. First I realised I love...

Pots but no plots!

patiojungle Hi, So, saw this website when looking for what to plant in my Garden (Well Yard...) Looks like a great idea as i am keen to grow lots of produce but have no soil and have to grow everythingin pots! The Government seem slow to turn usable wasteland into good growing space, and the list for an allotment is like the NHS operation shedule these days. So, anyone generous enough to share thier land is...

Do you grow/ help/ imagine a bit of the Goode life? live in or near LEicestershire? fancy starting a group online which might meet up face to face occasionally? Just because its winter, doesnt mean us growers are in hibernation... some of us still have plots to dig over, and...
