Hello, I saw your listing on Landshare.org, and decided to contact you. I have been developing a system for living for years now and the trouble has been funding it. The global economy was also doing much better when I first started this. I originally sought investors to start it as a for-profit with a philanthropic arm and upon discovering the non-profit/charity model, decided to start it as a charity called Molecular Synergy Nonprofit Industrial Design. I found the process for starting a charity to be so lengthy and restrictive, that I ended up spending all of my time trying to fulfill the requirements. I am now in the process of gathering like-minded people who want to work on this project. At it's core is the growing of raw materials and food, using aquaponics, organic hydroponics, algaculture, and possibly Micoprotein. I like the idea of using cargo containers as buildings because of their low cost, durability and flexibility among other things. The cargo containers would (eventually) be stacked up, with the growing done at the top. When ready, the plants would be taken down to the next level, processed, then to the next level, packaged, etc. Retail is an option for the ground level. One model could involve food production, with a place to consume it at the bottom. We are interested in using algae to make BioDiesel, which could be dispensed at the bottom, BioPlastic to make objects, flax, Kenaf to make cloth for clothes... There are many options for how to organize it. If the location has traffic, or if we can attract traffic, retail should work. The people that work there could be paid initially with goods, and when the goods can be exported and sold, we can incorporate cash payments. This system is modular, and can be started with just one container. I was looking around London for a place to start growing algae in containers. I was going to lease the land and put containers on it to start. We have systems for generating electricity with BioGas while at the same time processing waste, treating greywater with constructed wetlands or bioreactors. The effluent from the BioGas digesters would be used to grow non-food plants, likely for textiles. This would have to start small, but has the potential to grow quite quickly. What do you think? I will be visiting England in a few weeks to meet with my current partner and to meet with new people. I hope to hear from you soon! Have a great day!
