I live in the sleepy village of Laceby, near Grimsby. I have a little girl (aged, 3) that eats as much fruit as I can grow, but she loves helping me out in our garden. Me, my girlfriend and my daughter are just upgrading our existing veg, fruit and greenhouse in to a 90m3 allotment at the top of our garden. We are in the planning stage at the moment but hope to grow almost all our own seasonal vegetables from summer 2011. Here's wishing us luck......!!! Will keep posting as to our progress..

I'm passionate about growing fruit & veg in an urban environment, I only have a small garden but get the most from it with a few tricks and techniques, I have a good few years of experience trying to be more self sufficient and I'm interested in getting involved with others to push the local council towards the idea of allocating unused land to a group of urban farmers. I have been constructing efficient irrigation grow systems from largely recycled and cheap shop bought parts for the past year in my own back yard and at a community based development in town which has proven my attempts, now I want to go further and show others how to make the most of their space, time and water and money.. Hello! I am a 26 year old girl from Hull looking for a nice place nearby to grow fruit and veg. I'm currently living with my dad who doesn't have a garden, hence my search. I am passionate about sustainable living, perma-culture and food-foraging/cooking.
