I'm working on a project to get the gardens in the Royal Park area of Hyde Park into use for food cultivation, and I need people to come and help. It's a mixed area of students and local families, and the majority of the gardens are neglected at the moment, but there's loads of interest amongst the residents for getting them used productively, and the number of plots available depends only on the number of people willing to work on them. Even though they're mostly small plots, taken together there's a massive amount of usable space. People can take over a plot by arrangement with the householder, or they can join in as part of a team to do whatever work is needed in the area. Come on a regular basis if you can, but this is also an ideal opportunity for people who can't make a regular or long-term commitment, to just come as and when they can. Besides getting a share of the food, extra benefits include improving the look of the area, making it a more sociable place to live, and generating more interest in food growing, as what we do is highly visible to residents in the area. There are regular times when work is going on, but you can come at other times by prior arrangement, and once you've been introduced to one or more householders you can come any time that suits you.

I have a full size allotment plot and wondered if anyone would like to share in the labour and the produce with myself and my partner.

I have a large 100ft garden with greenhouse that needs some TLC and is avail for growing fruit and veg. It has not had chemicals on it for 10 years and I would like to keep it that way.. It is available to a reliable, pleasant and honest person/s who would like to grow their own. The garden can be accessed from the side daily and there is a shed to store tools plus outside tap.

We live in a small house in Little Woodhouse and have no space of our own in which to flex our green fingers. We are primarily interested in growing veg and would love to share whatever we produce. Hi, just found out about this website from watching River Cottage. Really keen to get started as I think growing your own brings huge satisfaction and I know where my food comes from. Am not green fingered but I'm willing to learn when there's someone to show me how. I think working together would be quicker and much more rewarding.

Hi i was wondering if anyone know of any land sharing in the area of Burley or around Leeds itself. I will be starting Leeds metropolitan university in September and i am looking for anywhere in the area where i can grow vegetables and other plants, as i will be far from my own vegetable garden back home with my parents. Any help would be great, and i am a hard worker =] Many thanks.

I'm part of Sustainability Action Group at the university of Leeds. We are currently seeking to set up a permaculture project but are missing one crucial ingreadient - some land.
