in the heyday of self-sufficiency, the 70's, prompted by such tv programmes as "the good life", there was a dinky little programme called "dig this". it showed how anyone could grow vegetables on a tiny piece of ground with minimal effort

looking back on it, while it was a worthy effort, times have changed, as have growing techniques. but at the end of the day, it showed how anyone could grow veg on their own little bit of land, rather than needing an allotment

if enough people would be interested, i would be happy to re-write this programme to show how anyone could manage to do the same on a pretty limited piece of ground
