So today is the day!

Posted : @ 23:57 on 26th January 2012 by nicolasuzanne

This day brings my forth to my missions. I have made the first step and announced to the world of cyber joy that I want to create a home for the homeless.

This need not be a big mission, just a small one in my eyes, but the right one to do.

My plan thus far, is to get my ass back to the UK from NZ and start growing some veggies. I don't know where I'm going to live, but I have my suspicions that it'll be somewhere in a caravan for the first few months. The vital thing is to get those seedlings going, and thus, I will have created my first set of veggies!

I need to look into grants for helping supply money into the system of helping others. So if anyone out there knows of a grant which would give money to buying a plot land, and contributing money towards building a home for the homeless then please let me know!

It will be a case of making a self sustainable home, off grid, using the process of building it, to help others. A blueprint for society.

We need to help eachother in this time on earth, and the question being 'Why not'? We are all part of one family ultimately, yet we are still blind to see so.

The food prices are consistantly going up, and the jobs are weakening in our economic system, so why the wait. We surely want to be eating our own food, that lack all the chemicals given to us, in our usual weekly shop of veggies.

I am personally over being fed toxic infested apples and tomatoes which burn the inside of my mouth, and don't satisfy my tastebuds. And I don't see why other people should have to put up with that too because they cannot afford to buy organic produce.

We need to take action for our own lives and for the children that follow us. To plant a seed for a tree that we may not sit in the shade of. This is the time to be doing it, now. As the economic system collapses around us, we need to provide for ourselves, for it is only ourselves that we know we can rely on.

Happy Gardening green fingers, I'll keep you updated soon

I live a little out of the way but good luck with your idea - always wanted to do something similar myself. We have become so secular, the idea of community living and working together is a big dream but I fully support you and feel that you have the commitment to make it work!

Brilliant! I am aiming to get back late march/ early april, I have still to book my flight, but that is the time I am aiming for. Great! Keep in touch, and I'll post more blogs as the idea grows. Thanks Dan
